When people arrive in my studio, my ultimate goal is to give them an amazing experience where they will leave and have had a fun, exhilarating day. I recently did a shoot whereby the mother only wanted pictures of her daughters taken. I managed to convince her to join in the fun and have her hair and make-up done and have a few shots taken with her daughters. I even went as far as to convince her to borrow one of my black gowns for some rather elegant portraits of herself. Below are some of the results.

A few months back, I did a vintage inspired wedding shoot at Château St. Ambroise in Montreal with the wonderful Fanny Wong and MUA Kitty Mann, Here are some of the results of that shoot. The enitre shoot was conducted with ambiant light only. So no flash, a high ISO and at times a reflector. Enjoy the results.
As we women know wearing high heels all day long can get quite painful, so here is an image ‘au naturel’ in regards to shoes
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted any of my recent work. So I thought that I would post some of that here to keep you all posted on my recent work.
Lately, I have been largely inspired by Sue Bryce and Bambi Cantrell. These photographers are amazing and seem to be able to capture women at their very best. I have been brushing up on my direction of models as well as how I pose them. This has enabled me to drop the amount of pictures I take from about 450, in the hopes of getting a few great shots, to 160 or so (which almost guarantees me 30 very good shots). With me directing more, I am making the shots happen as opposed to hoping something comes up. My sucess rate has thus increased by 100% or more.
I have also begun using lots of tulle, which to me is very feminin, lace and chiffon. I love the way these flow and can bring out the best in a woman’s femininity.
Women often wonder what happens during a glamour/fashion photoshoot. This video will give any woman considering treating herself to such a fun and unique package a good idea of what happens behind the scenes to get those amazing shots.
With Edith Ross Photography you will be made to feel like a star.
The 1930s and 1940s was an era where glamourous shots where done with movie stars. Here I am again trying to recapture the mood and styling that took place back then all the while using some contemporary items to bring it into this century.
